SCD Govt. College Alumni resent encroachments in their Alma Mater ignoring even Principal’s directives, players suffer.

The Alumni Association of SCD Govt. College Ludhiana has resented high handedness of NCC Air Squadron No. 4 in encroaching college ground illegally by constructing new steel structures and also preventing players both boys and girls access  to the  only changing rooms in the grounds which they have captured. Earlier they were given to use a room & bathroom, but they have started constructing huge structures illegally.

As informed by Gurjot  Singh, an international Volleyball Coach in the college to us , players are not allowed to use the only bathrooms and changing rooms available in the college by NCC Squadron Officials . Girls’ players suffer mostly.

Unfortunately,these constructions came up on Sunday when college was closed and also after college working hours. They did not stop even when asked by the college authorities .

Our Alma Mater has already produced a number of Arjuna Awardees in Basketball and Volleyball besides international cricketers. The highhandedness of NCC authorities who were only given space as a temporary arrangement is a big dampener for new generation players and coaches.

We request the deputy commissioner and the police commissioner to intervene so that it does not snowball into a major issue as the  matter concerns youthful student players .
